old_and_new_style_flanges.jpg
Above link is the old (left) and new (right) style flanges. Note that the old flange has no seal
diameter like the new one.
clearancing_for_100mm_flange.jpg
Above link shows the clearancing that I had to do to fit the 100mm
flange onto an FF tranny. It’s at the
top of the flange as shown.
old_ff_converted_to_100mm_flanges.jpg
Above link shows converted 020 tranny (from old style 90mm flanges to
100mm flanges). Just replace the old seals with the green sleeves as shown, and
use the newer style seals.
The old seals are much smaller in diameter than the new.
Note: old 90mm flanges used the smaller seals, new 90mm
flanges and all 100mm flanges use the larger seals (and those trannies had one
green sleeve). Only a converted tranny uses two green sleeves.
Note: the pictured tranny is not mine - I did the conversion for a
friend in a hurry. If I had rebuilt it, it'd be purt' near spotless.
